Last week I focused on finding healthy meals for Aiden. This week I focused on finding new activities to try and do with him. I found a recipe for finger painting. This I tried and it was quite fun for him. I also found some games to try to help with his intellectual development. I am eager to try some of these games to see if he likes them. Most of the times, we just play but I would like to try some of these games to see if he likes them. I don' want to be that mom who focuses so much on education because I want him to be a kid and have fun. But I want him to grow intellectually too. It's so hard when you are a teacher because you feel people are going to judge your children because they should be smart. But I am always going to make sure I do what is best for Aiden.
I have had such a great experience using this blog. I was able to get some grade advice from my website justmommies.com. I was also able to get some encouragement from them. All the members on the site consistently used positive digital citizenship. I also enjoyed getting the positive comments from my classmates. Many of them also practiced digital citizenship. Blogging also helps clear my head as well. I think I will start a new blog just for me. What a great experience!

Trying to Eat Healthy
Well this week I decided to get some ideas on how to keep Aiden eating healthy. I posted if anyone had any ideas on how to get my fussy toddler to eat healthier. It was great to hear such great advice and congratulations that I was trying to keep my son healthy. I have not tried any of the recipes yet but I plan on trying them this weekend. I am hoping that Aiden likes eating some of the meals I plan. I am tired of feeding him the same things over and over again. But I am also tired of making him something he won't eat and then just throwing it away. It really has been great to have such positive feedback from all these mothers. I am so glad I have experienced an environment where they practice positive digital citizenship.

Uh ohhh Sleeping getting out of Control
Well my son was doing better with his sleeping. A few night he even slept 8 hours straight. But mostly he was sleeping until 4 or 5 and I was loving it now. Now this week he is back to waking up every few hours. I'm too tired at night to fight him so I just grab him and bring him to bed with me. I know this is bad, but right now it is survival mode.
I read a few things about sleeping and having a routine. Aiden has a routine and I follow it every night but he just won't stay asleep. I am at a loss for ideas and words. I just wish I knew what would keep him asleep. I know he's tired still because when we wakes up he's really cranky. There are times he'll back to sleep fine and other times when I have to I just put into my bed to go to sleep. Momma has to get rest somehow. Well hopefully the sleep patterns get better by the end of the week. We will see!

Life a little more Positive
This week was much better and positive. Prayer helped a lot. This week I was able to read a lot advice on the different issues I am having with my son. I saw that I am not the only toddler parent who is having issues with their child sleeping. A few other parents were having issues with their child sleeping too. So I was able to get perspective from their posts. I was also able to get some advice on how to handle tantrums. My son seems to be displaying these lately. The best advice I received was to let him go through it and then try to give him positive attention afterwords at times they thrown tantrums because they want attention. This made sense to me. I was also able to ge some ideas on toddler meals. I am running out of ideas make dinner and this has helped.

What a Week !
This week was probably the worst week I have ever had. Not to go into personal details, I had a lot of people disappoint me this week. I guess it hurts me most because I am the type of person who would drop everything if someone I really cared about needed my help. But reflecting on this week I think it was God's way of waking me up and showing me what I needed to do. To reveal who my support teams are and who are not. But my little light in the darkness was my son. His smile and his laugh are what get me through these times. He gets me through those days when I feel hopeless.
My discussion board was really helpful because I was able to get some tips on how to handle all the stresses a working Mom has. It also made me realize through it all it is worth it because we do it for our children. We become stronger women because of our children. The stresses we had before are nothing compared to what we have now. I do have some clarity over events that happened this week and in a better place. I am trying some of the outlets the site recommended listening to muisc, writing in a journal and taking a walk. I think the most helpful has been praying, so I will continue to do that.

Wow I am not alone
Last night I was reading my discussion board on justmommies.com and it made me actually feel at peace. I was reading a few posts of other mothers and how their situations are similar to mine. I think when your a first time mother you don't know what is normal or not normal. But when you hear other people have similar things happen to them. You finally feel that your not alone. Many times as a mom you feel lonely. You feel like oh my gosh I have to do this and this and this.... Everything becomes so overwhelming that you don't want to talk to anyone and feel helpless.
On the flip side the digital citizenship is actually really positive. All the moms are all positive and really supportive. No one judges and seems the main goal is to support everyone. I really am enjoying being part of of this discussion group. It has been really helpful being a new mom. My son means everything to me and it's so helpful to get great tips from other moms.

Posting for my first time
Last night I posted my first question on justmommies.com. I of course asked my forever question that is always on my mind. How do I get my toddler to sleep through the night. I have not had anyone give me any advice but I look forward to getting some new tips. When your a Mom, your baby is always on your mind. My son is always on my mind. All my questions; what can I do better? Is he going to grow up happy? So many questions so many worries. As I was reading through the website I got some tips for some good recipes to try for Aiden. I also was able to read some games to try and play with him. I am really enjoying reading he information on this website.
